How to cure the body politic.
Is anyone else out there fed up with being told what to do instead of being asked what needs doing?
How about beginning by replacing the current system, which is nothing like democratic, with the makings of a democracy?
We might begin by curing at least three fundamental flaws in the British system, these being present similarly in most others:
1. the existence of permanent political parties and,
2. the existence of the whipping system in Parliament and,
3. those we elect acting as if they were our masters instead of our representatives.
Abolish the first two and the persons we elect to represent us would hopefully have to start earning our support by actually doing what we elected them for instead of toeing their party line.
What makes things worse at present is the system of unelected Ministers, a self-serving clique if ever there was one. Whenever one of them gets found out, all that happens is they play musical chairs.
It may be necessary to return to this subject before the era of freedom and light dawns.
